  • Fresh leaves and the dried seeds are the parts most traditionally used in cooking. It is used in cuisines throughout the world. The seeds have a lemony citrus flavor when crushed. It is described as warm, nutty, spicy, and orange-flavored. Roasting or heating the seeds in a dry pan heightens the flavor, aroma, and pungency. Coriander seed is used widely in the process for pickling vegetables and used while making sausages
  • Storage:  Keep tightly covered and store them in a cool, dry place. Whole spices stay fresh for up to 2 years while ground spices have a 6-month shelf life. Store red spices, such as paprika and red pepper, in the refrigerator. They will hold their color and keep their flavor longer.
